Hey everyone...hope all is well and you're enjoy summer. I can't believe how hot it is already. The heat definitely makes me want to stay inside and cook up something! I've been sharing lately of how my grandson, and I are working on a "recipe holder/notebook" for him to take off to college one day. I absolutely loved of how thrilled he was to get involved once I told him what his "Gege" was up too. I'll show pics later on of how he did the artwork for the "tabs/sections." But I wanted to get y'all started with the kiddos by "re-purposing" a school binder for this project. I actually just started this project on my "quilt blog" but it basically is the same...just change your fabric/design to your liking. I'll be sharing more tips later as I go of how I'm designing my grandsons but at least this will give the kiddos a fun project to start this summer. Also, you can use the same technique to turn your 3-ring binder into a "summer art journal"...re-purpose it in your school colors to have a "u-nique" binder for the upcoming school year. Endless possibilities! So, pop on over to my quilting blog....have fun designing...re-purposing your school binder and check back soon for more tips on this project. Have fun creating!
