Hey y'all...hope all is going well. We're off to a great start over on my quilting blog with Phase 2 of my "Lucky Trivet 4 Entertaining." This phase is probably my favorite step because you "a-play-que" with Aurifil thread. I used Aurifil 50 weight # 3910 veriegated thread and it compliments the Sunlit Garden fabrics by Jennifer Thomas for Island Batik perfectly. I love it when it all comes together! St. Patricks Day was my dear dads favorite Holiday. He loved sharing his roots and acting a bit silly as well. Needless to say our family carries on his tradition. I hope you join me on quilting blog to make this fun & easy trivet for entertaining. You will learn a fun 4 patch using HST's...raw edge "a-play-que" with your decorative stitches on your sewing machine and finishing it off with accent quilting. This is a great time to adventure and try new techniques due to the small scale of the trivet. I'm challenging myself this year to break out of my "quilting box" & try new techniques.
